They usually only know their horse for a few minutes, but they are expected to lead it to victory and make its owner proud and rich. Every race also means: mortal danger. "It's not a question of whether you fall, but when" – a common saying in the jockey scene, which top jockey Tommaso Scardino knows only too well.
